Our story
Why we started SCALE
SCALE began in 2021 with a simple frustration: the events meant to educate short-term rental professionals had become stages for sponsor pitches and the same handful of voices.
Co-founders Damian Sheridan and Gianpaolo Vairo set out to build something different — regional gatherings where working operators share what actually moves their businesses, and where the agenda is curated for learning, not selling.
What started as a single conference is now a family of people across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond — local leads who know their markets by first name, running events, a free year-round community, a podcast, and on-demand training.
